Biography
Michele Newman is a doctoral student at the Information School at the University of Washington, working under the guidance of Dr. Jin Ha Lee and Dr. Jason Yip. As a member of the UW Gamer Group and the Digital Youth Lab, she explores how interactive media can foster creative play and enhance learning experiences, examining the impact of digital tools on creative processes and developing frameworks for organizing/preserving knowledge in creative communities. Her interdisciplinary work spans areas such as library and information Science, human-computer interaction, education, and digital cultural studies.
