Biography

Charles Bugre is a PhD candidate at the University of Washington Information School. His research focuses on digital skills of persons with low-levels of literacy. His research provides crucial insights for comprehensive digital skills strategies across governments, NGOs and international organizations. He collaborates with public librarians to co-design services that are inclusive of under-served populations and empower their communities against problematic information. He also works with librarians to meet their community information needs and prepare for future community needs using the asset-based approach. Before coming to UW iSchool, Charles has worked as an academic librarian for over nine years and as a lecturer in Computer Science for over three years.
